RENO — The U.S. Army Cadet Command has recognized Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Del Lepley, a Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps (JROTC) instructor from Incline High School, with an award that honors the nation’s top instructors.

Del Lepley is the recipient of the Gold Instructor Award, an annual award that recognizes excellence in leadership among JROTC instructors.

Only the top 10 percent of all instructors nationwide are awarded this recognition.

CSM Lepley was instrumental in planning the district’s JROTC participation in the Veterans Day Parade in Reno in which 1,600 cadets marched to honor military veterans. He also planned the most successful district all-service JROTC military ball this year with more than 2,000 participating cadets and guests.
