RENO — A man from Sparks has been arrested for placing a digital camera in a public restroom at the Renown South Meadows Medical Center.
On Oct. 12, Reno police officers responded to a call from the medical center reporting that the camera had been found there concealed and set up to record anyone who used the toilet in the public bathroom.
On Monday, upon further investigation by Renown and sex crimes detectives, 42-year-old Roberto Ramirez was contacted by detectives and cooperated with the investigation. He was arrested for five counts of capturing the image of the private area of another person and was booked into the Washoe County Jail and held on a $12,500 bail.
Reno Police Department Detectives and the RENOWN South Meadows Medical Center are still in the process of identifying and contacting victims involved in this investigation.
