Fallon took the lead for good with about 10 minutes left in the third quarter, scoring on a running play to go up 18-14.
From there, things only got worse for the Railroaders, who relinquished another three touchdowns in quick succession on two scoring drives and an interception return for a touchdown.
The latter play occurred when Sparks quarterback Geovanni Vasquez slipped as he dropped back and simply tried to get rid of the ball. It was picked off and taken 45 yards to the end zone.
The Greenwave’s run game was powerful all night, pounding up the middle and also running on the edges for both sustained drives and long scoring runs.
The fight was not lost in Sparks, however, and the Railroaders did respond late in the fourth quarter with a solid scoring drive capped off by a Quinn Lightfoot 40-yard touchdown run.
Fallon recovered an ensuing onside kick and drove down the field for the team’s final touchdown of the night, taking a decisive 51-21 victory.
Sparks falls to 0-5. Fallon pulled to .500 on the season, moving to 2-2.
The Railroaders travel to Lowry Friday night.
