Players, hole sponsors needed for Sparks mayor’s golf tourney

SPARKS — Players are still needed for the Sparks Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament, happening at 1 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Resort at Red Hawk, on the Lakes Course. The entry fee is $100 per person. Hole sponsorships with signage are also available for $100 each. Proceeds benefit at-risk youth who have limited access to recreational programs due to financial hardships.

Now in its 11th year, the Mayor’s Cup features a four-person scramble format and plenty of fun with hole-in-one prizes and contests for closest to the hole and longest drive. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided by Red’s Golden Eagle Grill with beverages from Morrey Distributing and Swire Coca-Cola. 

Registration for the Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament ends Oct. 5. Entry forms are available online at or at any city of Sparks recreation facility, as well as at Sparks City Hall, 431 Prater Way.
