RENO — Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada (JANN) has appointed Jesse Bassett, Melissa Haffner and Jim Magrogan to serve as leaders on its board of directors panel.

The new board members will join the 13-person leadership board lead by executive director Bill Heitman. JANN will continue to focus on its mission of providing students with workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy education.

“By expanding the leadership positions within our organization, we are able to enhance our visibility and maximize partnerships with local businesses,” said Bill Heitman, JANN executive director. “Our primary goal is to reach more students through in-class programs and continue serving as a local advocate for education; we are confident our new board members will help achieve those goals.”

A University of San Diego, School of Law masters graduate, Bassett currently practices at Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP as an associate and member of the firm’s estate and trusts and tax practice groups.

A nine-year veteran at Bank of America, Haffner serves as a banking center manager where she is responsible for leading branch initiatives, mentoring new associates and developing more efficient work processes.

Magrogan has worked in the construction industry for nearly 17 years, currently managing a start-up general contractor business, Sullivan Structures, LLC. Prior to joining Sullivan Structures, Magrogan worked for an ENR Top 20 general contractor based in San Francisco and for one of the largest general contractors in northern Nevada, United Construction Company.
