RENO — Saving hundreds of dollars off your grocery bill is possible by investing a little time and know-how with “extreme couponing.” Learn the ins and outs of couponing and how it can benefit your family with “Couponing 101,” hosted by The Laughton Company. The workshop takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 at The Laughton Learning Center, 140 Washington St., Suite 100.

Ericka Smith, rate and benefit analyst with The Laughton Company, will share with attendees techniques on how save at least 50 percent off grocery bills using tactics she’s developed.

“I started couponing for my family about a year ago and haven’t paid for groceries or necessities since,” Smith said. “Couponing is easy if you know what to look for and how to apply it. During the workshop, I will share my tactics on how to save money on everyday items and how you can actually make money by using coupons and then investing at least half of your savings into an interest-bearing account. It means money back to you and your family.”

The workshop covers how to get started, store policies and demonstrated money-saving techniques. Additionally, participants receive a couponing starter manual. The workshop cost is $5 and advance reservations are required. RSVP to rsvp@laughtonco.com or by calling 327-6009. For more information, visit www.laughtonco.com.
