SPARKS — Learn how to grow and harvest vegetables even after the cooler weather sets in at a free Green College Class at Rail City Garden Center, 1720 Brierley Way, at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Jedi master gardener Randy Robison also will teach participants how to get a jump start on spring planting by planning now.

Seating for the class is limited and reservations are recommended. To reserve a seat, call 335-1551. While the class is free, a donation of a can of food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada is strongly suggested. A collection barrel is conveniently located at Rail City Garden Center.

For more information, visit www.railcitygardencenter.com or call 355-1551.
