RENO — A 39-year-old mother of three has died from injuries sustained Thursday afternoon in a crash on Oddie Boulevard.

The Washoe County Medical Examiner on Tuesday said Kimberly Torgio-Gray died Sunday at Renown Regional Medical Center.

At about 5 p.m. Sunday, Torgio-Gray’s car stalled on Oddie Boulevard near U.S. Highway 395, according to Reno police Sgt. Jim Stegmaier. She was looking under the hood when it was struck from behind by another car, trapping Torgio-Gray underneath her own vehicle.

Emergency personnel had to extricate Torgio-Gray from under the vehicle. The accident is still under investigation. No arrests have been made and the identity of the other driver is being withheld by police.

The exact reason for Torgio-Gray’s death will be identified by the medical examiner, but it was most likely due to the injuries received in the collision police said.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call the Reno Police Department Traffic Division at 334-2141 or remain anonymous by calling Secret Witness at 322-4900.
