RENO — Nevada Virtual Academy (NVVA) will host informational sessions about enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year on Tuesday at the Grand Sierra Resort.

School Administrators, teachers and staff will be on hand to provide an overview of the program and answer questions. The enrollment window is still open for families interested in NVVA.

The event will include free carnival-like activities, from interactive games to bouncing stations. Teachers and staff will host grade-specific tables, curriculum demonstrations and orientation sessions. Information presentations will begin every hour. Attendees also will have the chance to meet and hear personal stories from current NVVA families.

Nevada Virtual Academy is a tuition-free, full-time statewide public virtual charter school, offering curriculum for kindergarten through 12th grade. NVVA provides students a flexible yet challenging learning environment that is individualized to each child’s specific needs.

The back-to-school event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. For more information and to RSVP, visit www.k12.com/nvva/events-by-date.
