Proceeds from this annual event benefit the Sparks Youth Scholarship Fund, which gives children from low-income families the opportunity to take part in recreation programs through the city of Sparks.
Now in its 11th year, the Mayor’s Cup features a four-person scramble format and plenty of fun with hole-in-one prizes and contests for closest to the hole and longest drive. Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per player. Hole sponsorships with signage are available for $100 each.
Lunch will be provided by Red’s Golden Eagle Grill with beverages from Morrey Distributing and Swire Coca-Cola.
Registration for the Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament ends Oct. 5. Entry forms are available online at www.sparksrec.com or at any city of Sparks recreation facility, as well as at Sparks City Hall, 431 Prater Way.
