RENO —The College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources at the University of Nevada, Reno will host the Agricultural Experiment Station Valley Road Field Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 10. The event is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in the types of research performed at the college is encouraged to attend.
The event features tours of the Greenhouse Complex, bio-renewable fuel production, a walking tour of research projects and a viticulture tour with a wine tasting (must be 21 years and older). Each of the tours begins at 9:15 a.m. and the Greenhouse Complex and bio-renewable fuel production tours will continue throughout the day.
The field day will take place at the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station’s Valley Road Station Field Lab, 1000 Valley Road. Parking will be available to the public on Evans Avenue on the south side of the university’s John Sala Intramural Fields and a free shuttle will take guests to the Valley Road Station Field.
