SPARKS — At 10:58 a.m. on Aug. 8, the Sparks Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at Bank of America at 2895 N. McCarran Blvd.
Patrol officers, detectives and the FBI responded to the robbery but were unable to locate the suspect.
The investigation revealed that the suspect approached a teller and passed her a note. The note stated he had a gun and that he demanded money. The teller complied with the suspects’ request and the suspect fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect is described as a heavyset white male adult. He is in his late 20’s to early 30’s and stands about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall. He had short blond hair and a few days growth of facial hair. He was wearing a light-colored shirt, light-colored shorts and a multi-colored baseball cap.
