Reward offered in robbery at Bank of America

SPARKS — Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of the Bank of America located at 2895 N. McCarran Blvd. in Sparks.

At 10:58 a.m. Monday, a man entered the bank, approached one of the tellers and produced a note stating he had a gun and demanding money.

The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5-feet 9-inches and 6-feet tall with a heavy build, blonde hair and a few days’ growth of facial hair, wearing a light-colored shirt, light-colored shorts and multicolored baseball cap. No weapon was displayed.

Police also say the suspect was driving a small, dark-colored sedan.

The Sparks Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
