RENO — On July 22, Reno police officers responded to Isles Gift Shop, 809 S. Center St., on the report of a burglary that occurred overnight. Officers determined that the suspect(s) broke into the business and stole more than $37,000 worth of Celtic jewelry.

Reno detectives are now asking the public’s help in solving this crime and recovering this jewelry. Police have provided four pictures of the jewelry that was stolen in the hopes someone will recognize it, or possibly see it on the streets. The jewelry consisted of rings, pendants, watches, earrings and necklaces. Most of the jewelry contained Celtic symbols with the majority having the “claddagh” symbol, which is two hands coming together holding a heart in the finger tips. The heart sometimes contains a small crown.

Photos will be posted at www.dailysparkstribune.com under “Crime Beat.” The detective division is asking that anyone with information about this case or the stolen jewelry contact the Property Crimes Division at 334-2133 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
