Gaby Hernandez (4-3) allowed just one run over his first five innings, but faltered in the sixth, allowing three runs in the frame. He finished the night surrendering four runs—all earned—in 5.1 innings pitched, striking out two and walking two.
Las Vegas starter Chad Beck (1-0) earned the win in his first Triple-A appearance, holding Reno's offense to just three runs—two earned—in five innings, scattering eight hits and striking out two.
Cole Gillespie, Tony Abreu and Robby Hammock had two singles apiece for Reno, while Juan Miranda's fifth-inning double was the Aces' lone extra-base hit of the evening. Michael Restovich drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in his Aces debut.
