RENO — ProNet staffing service is sponsoring a summer blood drive on Monday for United Blood Services of Reno at the organization’s office located at 1201 Terminal Way, Suite. 100.

The United Blood Services mobile unit will be on hand taking blood donations from former and current ProNet members in the parking lot behind ProNet’s office. To sign up, stop by the ProNet office or call 674-5408. Each unit of donated blood can help save three lives.

ProNet, whose membership is made up exclusively of unemployed and underemployed professionals, has a long tradition of giving back to the community through volunteerism. This is the fifth time ProNet has partnered with the local United Blood Services. Past blood drives have totaled approximately 90 units of blood, and potentially saving 270 lives.

As a thank you for donating blood, United Blood Services will perform a free total cholesterol test for each donor. The confidential results will be available online at www.UnitedBloodServices.org within seven days of the donation. In addition, all ProNet donors will be entered into a drawing to win a 2010 Toyota Corolla from the Northern Nevada Toyota Dealers of Reno, Fallon and Carson City.

For more information, call 674-5408 or email pronet@join.org.
