The first fire companies on scene found a bedroom in the one-story home fully involved in fire. All occupants were outside the home but two pet dogs were missing.
An adult female occupant suffered minor smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital. One pet died in the fire, and one was located and removed by fire crews.
The fire was extinguished within seven minutes after arrival. There was significant fire damage to the bedroom, and some fire extension into the hallway and the attic. There was significant heat damage throughout the rest of the home, which was not able to be re-occupied.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fire officials say a smoke detector alerted the occupants, enabling them to escape.
