FERNLEY — A woman was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle rollover accident.

At 8:08 am, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the crash about 15 miles east of Fernley. Michelle Marie McClelland, 22 and a resident of Fernley, was driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on U.S. 50. When she tried to pass a commercial vehicle she lost control and the vehicle rolled over. McClelland was killed when she was ejected from the vehicle. Her two young infants were in the vehicle at the time of the rollover but were not injured, and are now with family members.

McClelland was not wearing a seat belt, according to NHP Trooper Dan Lopez.
