Jerry Saffle, Tomi Fratto, Nicole Chase and Kay Miller all have worked in the Reno-Sparks market for years and couple that experience with a wide range of loan products through Mason-McDuffie, which returned to the Reno market last year. An earlier iteration of the company served the Reno market for years until it closed in 1985.
The current company, whose roots in the real estate business date to 1887 in Oakland, Calif., was reborn in 2005. The focus of the corporation and each of its branch offices is serving clients efficiently and quickly. That means closing loans in 30 days or fewer, providing jumbo loans up to $2 million as well as conventional 30-year fixed loans and adjustable-rate mortgages.
Fratto said the firm also will fund “flips” for more than 120 percent of the investor’s purchase price. Mason-McDuffie is one of the few firms bringing this flexibility to homebuyers.
The firm also offers federally guaranteed 203K loans that allow a buyer to fold the cost of renovations and repairs into the first mortgage based upon the appraisal after the property closes.
Saffle joined Mason-McDuffie last year and previously has been a branch manager for both Home Mortgage Resources and Flagstar Bank.
Like Saffle, Chase has worked in the Reno market for 15 years.
Fratto embarked upon her lending career eight years ago and focuses on client service, which means she’s routinely available after normal business hours. She serves as secretary of the Women’s Council of Realtors, while Saffle is treasurer.
Both Fratto and Saffle are members of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
Miller just joined the Reno office and brings more than 30 years of experience in the Reno market to her client base. She’s worked for several firms as a loan officer and a branch manager. She’s a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and is a past secretary and vice president.
