SPARKS — Police have arrested a woman for allegedly strangling and stabbing her boyfriend after the death of her pet.
At 10:24 p.m. Monday, Sparks police officers responded to Jo Pa’s Trailer Park at 2006 Prater Way for a reported stabbing that occurred at space 83. The victim, Stephen Caldarulo, called police from the pay phone in the trailer park and reported that his girlfriend, Carrie Lee, 42, had strangled and stabbed him because of a pet that had died. Caldarulo was transported to the hospital and was treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound to the abdomen. Lee was arrested at the trailer without incident.
