RENO — The multi-use pasture that is used as a popular off-leash area in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park will be closed from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday to allow for weed abatement by Washoe County’s Department of Regional Parks and Open Space.

The abatement materials are not harmful once dry. Application will involve white top growths in specific areas of the pasture. The application and drying time is anticipated to last no more than two hours. The pasture is expected to re-open to the public, and their dogs, at 9:30 a.m.

Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is managed by Washoe County’s Department of Regional Parks and Open Space. For more information, visit www.washoecountyparks.com.
