RENO — Michele Boreham of mmb Photography has a passion for photography, but it doesn’t stop there. She has a passion for the community at large, especially children, that she hopes will inspire others.

Boreham’s “Give Joy Calendar” will be published as a charitable fundraiser that will benefit the statewide nonprofit organization Nevada CASA Association, and its local partners around the state. The Nevada CASA Association supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children in the foster care system so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes.

One hundred percent of the proceeds of the Give Joy Calendar will go to Nevada CASA programs. Boreham created the calendar to help her community and give back with her time and talents as a photographer. She is relying on volunteers and sponsors to help make this initiative a success. The calendar will feature children from Reno and Las Vegas and rural areas of Nevada who inspire people to give of their time or resources to help make a difference in their communities.

“With support from sponsors and generous individuals, it is my great hope that we can help make a difference in the lives of our abused and neglected children and help to reunite them with their biological families or assist to provide other options, such as adoption,” Boreham said in a press release.

mmb Photography is looking for local businesses and individuals to sponsor the cost of printing the calendar and volunteers and local business owners to help distribute the calendar upon completion. In addition, mmb Photography is looking for children throughout the state of Nevada to be featured in the calendar.
