RENO — On Friday at 6:04 a.m., Brent Bellamy, 30, entered the AM/PM located at 700 Keystone Ave., removed a black revolver and robbed the clerk.

The suspect then fled but was soon located by responding patrol officers. When confronted by police, Bellamy removed the revolver from a satchel he was carrying and immediately put it at his side. After a brief pause, Bellamy ran from the officers but was soon stopped by a fence he could not clear. After a delay, Bellamy put the gun down, but then jumped the fence and attempted to flee again.

He was soon caught and taken into custody and arrested for armed robbery, obstructing and resisting with a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

Anyone with further information is requested to call the Reno Police Department Detective Division at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
