Reward in Fair Deal Market robbery case

SPARKS — A $1,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a man who robbed the Fair Deal Market on Sunday night.

At about 11 p.m., Sparks police officers responded to a report of a robbery at the market, located at 1695 Sullivan Lane. When officers arrived they learned that a man had entered the store and interrupted a transaction between the clerk and a customer. The suspect produced a small semi-automatic pistol and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect also took money from the customer, then fled from the business. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or possibly black man, between 20 and 25 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches tall with a slight build, and was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and pants that are described as a distinctive green color.
