Reward offered in robbery case

RENO — Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the strong-arm robbery of a male victim in the area of 2707 S. Virginia St. in Reno.

On May 18 at 9:54 p.m., the victim was inside an establishment when the suspect stole his handbag. The suspect exited the building and the victim followed and confronted him. The suspect knocked the victim to the ground and fled on foot eastbound into the 2700 block of Wrondel Way with an unknown amount of cash, credit cards and identification. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic adult male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and tan pants.

Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone having information relating to this crime or the suspect should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2115, Secret Witness at 322-4900, or text your information to 847411 with the keyword SW.
