This parade is held in honor of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty throughout history, as well as for those who currently serve and have served their communities in the law enforcement profession.
The Silver State National Peace Officers Museum features historical artifacts from the law enforcement profession dating to the 1780s from all across America and is located within the 1876 Storey County Jail inside the courthouse. Bring the family for a full day of fun with the parade, vehicle show and collector show. Then enjoy the museum with the kid’s station, the Nevada officers memorial room, the hall of history and even have your picture taken in original 1876 jail cells!
The parade is held in conjunction with a Restored Emergency Vehicle Show and Collectors Show, which run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The museum opened for the season on May 1 and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.PeaceOfficersMuseum.org or call 775-847-7800.
