Fallon’s Tyler Shroeder shot a 73 to best the field Monday at the RedHawk Invitational on Spanish Springs’ home course.

Most of the teams didn’t bring there ‘A’ teams, but the Greenwave did and totaled a 403 to win the tournament.

Spanish Springs, which broke up its talents evenly between two teams, would have won if its varsity golfers were on the same squad.

Anthony Decker led the way for the Cougars with a 75, while Jordan Gilmore was close behind with a 76. Carson Cooke also broke 80 on the slightly windy day by carding a 79.

Dylan Ernst (81), Jake Ellis (89) and Tommy McAllister (93) rounded out Spanish Springs’ top six scores.

“It was a little windy, but we played pretty well today,” SSHS golf coach Nick Wirshing said. “Hopefully we can take that into the league match at D’Andrea.”

Reed will host the High Desert League weekly tournament today at D’Andrea Golf Club.
