Minor accident with extrication

A woman was pried from her car after an accident Wednesday evening.

At 8:10 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to State Route 341 to a minor injury accident. The crash investigation indicates that a silver four-door Nissan crashed approximately two miles up from Highway 395. Emily Schaffer, a 28-year-old Virginia resident, had to be extricated and received minor injuries. Schaffer was transported by ground to Renown Medical Center. SR 341 was closed for about a half hour while emergency personnel investigated the accident. Alcohol or drugs may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
