Police looking for person who robbed salon

RENO — Police detectives are looking for clues in an armed robbery that occurred Monday in the early evening.

At about 6:40 p.m., a lone suspect entered the Cost Cutters located at 3320 McCarran Blvd., pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. The suspect grabbed the register from behind the counter and fled the business. The suspect was seen getting into a white passenger car. The loss is an undisclosed amount of cash and the business register.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, 6 feet tall with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black and white plaid jacket and eyeglasses.
