Two men rob liquor store

RENO — Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects wanted in connection with the robbery of a liquor store on Saturday.

Two masked men entered the Ben’s Discount Liquor store at 4794 N. Virginia St. at 8:25 p.m. and demanded money from the employees. One of the suspects was armed with a machete, and the other was possibly armed with a hand gun.

One of the employees fled out the back door, and the suspects immediately removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the two cash registers and fled on foot.

The first suspect is described as an adult male, possibly white, last seen wearing a black ski mask, dark coat, dark gloves and armed with a large machete.

The second suspect also is described as an adult male, possibly white, last seen wearing a black ski mask, a blue jacket with a gray hood, dark gloves and possibly armed with a hand gun.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
