RENO — A 43-year old woman from Reno was walking across a private driveway near Apple Way, just off Kietzke Lane, when she was struck by a Toyota Tacoma. That Tacoma had been struck in the rear by a Chevy Silverado whose driver became distracted when he reached for a ringing cell phone. The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries to her head, hip and back. She was transported and treated at Renown Medical Center. The driver of the Silverado was cited for careless driving.
