Rewards offered in several cases

The Reno and Sparks police departments and Secret Witness are asking for the public’s help in several crimes.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects wanted in connection with a shooting at Lupita’s Restaurant, located at 668 E. Prater Way in Sparks.

At 8:50 p.m. Friday, two men tried to steal several tables that were stored at the back of the restaurant when they were discovered by the managers. The suspects fired one or more shots as they fled eastbound in a vehicle. There were no injuries.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males, 18 to 25 years old, driving a newer model Chevrolet or GMC pickup with four doors.

Secret Witness also is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with robbery of the Jackson’s Store located at 2895 Clearacre Lane in Reno.

At 4:27 a.m. Sunday, the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the register. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not injured.

The suspect is described as unknown race male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds and wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes, light-colored gloves and a black mask covering his face.

Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) wanted in connection with the assault with a deadly weapon and shots fired in the area of 690 Robinhood Drive in Reno.

At 6:45 a.m. Saturday, three or four shotgun rounds were fired into a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the above address. The shots caused moderate damage to the vehicle and some pellets went into a nearby apartment. There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 20s driving a smaller black sedan, possibly an Acura, with a factory rear spoiler. The suspect was seen leaving the area westbound on Robinhood and then southbound on Lakeside Drive shortly after the shotgun blasts.
