“It’s our effort to go green,” said Samantha Ravo, marketing manager at Legends. “With the VIP savings card, you can use it again and again.”
Previously, the stores coupons could only be used once and Ravo said if something needed to be reprinted or updated a lot of paper was wasted.
In an effort to be wallet-conscious, Ravo said Legends appreciates its customers and wanted to do something to show the store owners and associates gratitude.
“We’ve seen (the rewards program) at other malls in others states and we liked it and we wanted to reward our customers and their loyalty,” Ravo said. “We appreciate them, especially in this economy, and that they bring their business to us.”
Customers can visit the customer service office, located between Scheels and the Nike store in the tower below Cadillac Ranch, with their receipts from Legends stores — excluding Target and Best Buy — to start their rewards card.
“Until the end of March, the first $10 is free,” Ravo said.
Annual rewards are based on amounts spent, including:
• A gift for $250 spent
• $10 gift card for $500 spent
• A gift for $1,000 spent
• $25 gift card for $2,000 spent
• $25 for every additional $1,000 spent at Legends
Ravo said shoppers also can get deals by visiting the outlet’s website, www.experiencelegends.com, to sign up for e-mail and receive additional information about the shopping center. She added people can join Legend’s Facebook page for exclusive deals offered only to the center’s followers.
Desiree Chapman, store manager at Converse, said she thinks shoppers are always looking for good deals and the rewards card will help them with that.
“It is an amazing program that rewards our customers for shopping at Legends,” Chapman said. “It’s an easy to earn and shop at the same time.”
April Westby, store manager at Banana Republic, said she’s already seen customers use the VIP savings booklet as well as rewards card.
“I think it’s a great benefit,” Westby said. “Anything that draws people to the outlets helps all of us.”
The booklet offers great deals, Westby said, that can be used again and easily fits in a wallet.
“It’s a phenomenal shopping center,” Westby said. “It’s a beautiful center, bring the family and come visit us. There’s a lot to do here.”
