RENO — Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with a hit-and-run after a two-vehicle collision in the area of East Sixth and Sutro streets.

At 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, a 1999 gold Chrysler Sebring was traveling north on Sutro when it was struck by a 2008 Jeep which was traveling west on Sixth Street. Witnesses said the Chrysler might have run a red light. Passengers of that vehicle immediately fled the scene without checking the medical status or rendering assistance to the injured driver of the Jeep. The owner of the Chrysler is 30-year-old Sparks resident Jessica Rivas. The driver of the Jeep was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone having information relating to this crime, the suspect vehicle or the suspect should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2141, or Secret Witness at 322-4900 or www.secretwitness.com. All calls to Secret Witness remain anonymous, and Secret Witness pays rewards for information on all crimes.
