Israel beware: the Muslims are coming

It’s hard to believe that no one predicted the current political revolution in Egypt. The American Central Intelligence Agency said it was “caught off guard” and had no warning of the uprising. Actually, the CIA did have a warning sign right in front of it, which it either ignored or forgot.

It all started in Tunisia when a young unemployed man could not find work and was denied a permit to sell fruit on the street. He decided to end his unemployment by setting himself on fire in protest of the corrupt government. Another version of the story was that the young man set himself ablaze because someone had stolen his fruit. Either way, riots of protest and solidarity forced the resignation of the president who was quickly replaced by the Tunisian prime minister.

Seeing how easy it was to overthrow what Wikileaks called a Tunisian “police state,” the unemployed and politically charged Egyptians decided to follow Tunisia’s lead in an attempt to oust their tyrannical president, Hosni Mubarak.

Under Mubarak’s 30-year rule, poverty, unemployment and political graft were a way of life.  Egyptian women had few rights and were imprisoned and tortured for nominal violations of Muslim law. So much for a theocratic state. At least in our democracy, the punishment for indiscreet Roman Catholic women is reciting three Our Fathers, three Hail Marys  and the act of contrition. Of course, Christian men are never indiscreet — they can’t keep a secret.

Egypt’s Mubarak broke ranks with his Muslim brothers during the Iraq conflict. He supported the United States and its efforts to colonize his neighbor to the east. Rather than openly violating the Geneva Conventions rules of war and engagement, the United States sent Iraqi prisoners to Egypt where they could be skillfully, properly and legally tortured.

Egypt also broke ranks with the rest of the Muslim world in 1948.

Due to the displacement of Jews caused by the Holocaust following World War II, the general assembly of the United Nations, backed by the United States and Egypt, ordered the withdrawal of British troops from Palestine and the creation of two states: Palestine and Israel. The Jerusalem Bethlehem corridor was to be a neutral buffer between the two. Over the years, Egypt has supported the policy of the United States allowing Israeli expansion and encroachment in the neutral corridor. Arab Muslims have been fighting Jewish Zionists to regain their land and prevent encroachment since the agreement was signed.

We mitigated Hitler’s atrocities against the Jews by dividing Arab land and giving it to the Jewish people. Ironically, we mitigated Russia’s 20 million war dead by partitioning Germany. It didn’t work in Europe and it’s not working in Jerusalem.

The first major sign of retaliation against the United States by Muslims for stealing their land was the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993.  Al-Qaida took credit for the blast and later initiated bombings at the U.S. embassy in Nairobi and USS Cole, the Khobar massacre in Saudi Arabia  and capped it off  with the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City and the Pentagon.

So how could we be caught off guard? Al-Qaida and the Arab world have been warning us for years to get out of Israel. Their goal is to scatter our military throughout the Middle East plugging holes they strategically dig for us to fall into. Forcing us to spend trillions plugging those holes is their purpose. President G.W. Bush fell for the trap. Maybe President Obama will get us out.

One Republican pundit referred to the uprising as an Egyptian revolt not an Islamic plot. How can that be? Everything the Muslims do is politically, militarily, economically and personally built upon the teaching of Islam.

Cynically speaking, maybe there’s an American plot afoot. Are we instigating the rebellion because we’re tired of exhausting our resources financing, protecting and defending this 8,000-square-mile Jewish sanctuary surrounded by Islamic territory. Remember, when Egypt has its free election at the end of the year almost 100 percent of the voters hate Israel and at least 80 percent despise Americans. We might no longer have Egypt as an ally, especially if the Muslim Brotherhood wins the election. And last week, the king of Jordan disbanded his government clearing the way for a new anti-American government.

Israel is bordered by Egypt to the south and Jordan to the east. After free elections take place and, if Israel continues to thumb its nose at America’s current request to stop expanding their settlements in the neutral corridor, we might consider allowing the Muslim world to settle its own score with the Zionists. So Israel beware, this time the Muslims are really coming to reclaim their land. And we can finally get out of the political hole we dug for ourselves in 1948.

"their land"??? As usual, your historical narrative is more opinion than fact. JEWS LIVED IN ISRAEL BEFORE THERE WAS AN ISLAMIC RELIGION!!!

Is Israel threatened by Islamic Fascist States? Yes. Nothing new there.
