STATELINE — On Wednesday at 8:49 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol was dispatched to an injury crash near Juniper Drive about three-fourths of a mile east of U.S. 50 near Stateline on State Route 207 also known as Kingsbury Grade.

The crash investigation indicates that a black Jeep Cherokee was traveling eastbound on SR 207 driven by a 19-year-old Savannah Malena Amos from Stateline that crossed over the centerline for unknown reasons striking a blue bus driven by Randy Briney, a 53-year-old Carson City resident, in the left front with the left front of the Jeep. The driver of the Jeep, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno via Care Flight helicopter with substantial injuries.

On Thursday, Amos was listed in serious condition at Renown Regional Medical Center.

SR 207 was closed until the accident scene was investigated. Alcohol is not suspected as a contributing factor to the accident. Witnesses to the event or anyone with additional information are encouraged to call the Department of Public Safety-Communications Center at 775-687-0400 or Sgt. Robert Stepien at 775-688-2500.
