SPARKS – The Rotary Club of Sparks Centennial Sunrise last week donated more than 1,700 calculators to the fourth grade students of the city of Sparks.  The presentation of the calculators was made to the majority of the 22 elementary schools in Sparks on Thursday.

The Sparks Rotary Club last week took a dozen children from Kate Smith Elementary School shopping at Walmart for Christmas. The club is well known for its annual Kids Free Fishing Day at the Sparks Marina.

The club is an organization of area business and civic leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and strive to build and develop peace and goodwill on locally and nationally.
