Police seek suspects in attempted home invasion robbery

SPARKS — On Wednesday at 11:36 p.m., Sparks police officers responded to 2533 Maxine Circle No. 12 on a report of an attempted home invasion robbery. Once on scene officers spoke with the victims, an adult male and an adult female, who live at the residence. Both victims stated that they were at home in their apartment when they heard a noise outside their door. The male victim opened the door and at that time the suspects attempted to force their way into the apartment. The victims stated that one of the suspects was armed with a hand gun and the other was armed with a shotgun.  The male victim was able to force the door shut and was attempting to push a couch in front of the door when the subjects broke open the door and were able to get  partially into apartment  until he was able to push the couch up against the door and force them out. 

At that time the suspects fled the area and were last seen running east bound from the area on foot. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them. The victims in this case were not injured and there was no property taken. 

There are no further details on this case at this time.

The first suspect is described as black or Hispanic adult male between 20 and 30 years old. He is about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and was wearing dark clothing, a red baseball hat and blue bandana partially covering face.

The second suspect is described as a black adult male between 30 and 35 years old. He is about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 190 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and a blue bandana partially covering his face.
