RENO — On Friday at 3:24 p.m., Reno police officers responded to 5150 Mae Anne Drive on a report of a suspicious person attempting to gain entry to business posing as a building inspector. The suspect was turned away by the businesses and had left the area prior to officers' arrival.

Police believe this incident is related to earlier incidents of a person gaining entry to local businesses posing as a building inspector. The suspect is described as a white, male, 6 feet tall, 35 to 45 years old with a heavy build and facial blemishes, last seen wearing a grey shirt, jeans and white tennis shoes, carrying a black jacket and a clipboard with papers and a red camera.

Local businesses are cautioned to beware of this subject and to call police immediately if he approaches the business.
