RENO — The Harrah’s Foundation today will present $70,000 to the Junior League of Reno for its Universally Accessible Playground (UAP) project. The grant will allow design and construction to begin on the project, slated to open in summer 2011.

The Junior League of Reno has completed its two-year fundraising campaign to build a UAP. The new playground, located at Dick Taylor Park, will be the region’s first fully-accessible playground for children and family members of all abilities.

Reno Mayor Bob Cashell and city representatives will make the presentation at Harrah’s Reno Plaza at 219 N. Center St. at 1:30 p.m.
