Interested community members are invited to learn more about bereavement support groups, family sessions and volunteer training. In addition to hosting two free seminars, Saint Mary’s Hospice will have an information booth at 645 N. Arlington St. in Reno from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
During the national awareness week, medical director Dr. Kelle Brogan will host two free seminars called “Handling Difficult Conversations,” about talking with family members about end-of-life decisions. The first seminar will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday and will include lunch. The second seminar will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and will include dinner and wine service.
Both seminars will be hosted at Saint Mary’s at 645 N. Arlington Ave., Auditoriums A and B. Physician Ethics CMEs and Nursing CEUs are available for professionals.
