RENO — A drunk driver rammed another car and set off a chain reaction that tied up traffic for about an hour Sunday.

Police officers responded to the area of Clearacre Lane and McCarran Boulevard at about 1:30 p.m. on report of a multiple-car accident.

Steven Cormier, 61 and a Reno resident, was driving northbound on Clearacre and struck a vehicle in front of him near the McCarran intersection. This caused that vehicle to collide with the car that was in front of it. Streets in that immediate area were closed for about 50 minutes. Cormier was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for felony DUI, as he had a previous felony DUI conviction. Four people were transported to area hospitals with minor and claimed injuries, none that appeared to be life threatening.
