Sara Jones, Carson City-based librarian and leadership educator, will discuss the e-grant process and strategies for writing a winning online application.
The Reno workshop will be held in two sessions, 9:30 a.m. to noon and 2:30 to 5 p.m., on Nov. 17 in computer classroom 110 at the University of Nevada, Reno Redfield Campus at 18600 Wedge Pkwy.
After Jones presents resources, tools, and tips, NAC staff will work with attendees on grant application changes for fiscal year 2012 and answer questions about grant categories and the Culture Grants Online system.
This workshop is designed for anyone thinking about applying for an NAC grant, including artists, educators, arts organizations, schools, public institutions and nonprofit community groups, or for any grant with an online application.
It is strongly recommend that both new applicants and present grantees attend a workshop. Professional development grants (PDGs) of up to $350 are available for constituents who must travel more than 100 miles round trip to attend the workshop closest to their home.
