RENO — The Reno Bighorns will hold national anthem auditions today at the Reno Events Center beginning at 5 p.m., which will be free and open to the public.

The auditions are open to anyone who aspires to sing the national anthem before a Bighorns game this season. During the 2010-11 season, the Bighorns play 24 home games at the Reno Events Center and look to feature a local singer at each game.

Registration for the auditions will begin at 4:30 p.m. today. All prospective singers will be guaranteed a chance to sing, providing they arrive at the Reno Events Center before 6 p.m. Singers are asked to enter the center at the Portal B entrance, which is at the corner of Fourth and Center streets in downtown Reno.

Performers with specific questions about the auditions can contact Adam Cooper at 334-7072 or adam@renobighorns.com.

The Bighorns begin its third season on Nov. 20, at home against the Utah Flash before an expected sellout crown. Reno Bighorns 2010-11 full- and partial-season tickets are available by calling 284-2NBA. For more information, visit www.renobighorns.com.
