Washoe County Sheriff’s Office provides candy X-ray station

RENO — On Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m., the Sheriff’s Court Security Officer Screening and X-ray Station at the main entrance of District Court located at 75 Court St. in Reno will be open for X-raying Halloween candy.  This is a free public service to citizens. 

Sunday is a regular work day at the District Courthouse which opens at 10 a.m.  Families interested in getting their candy checked prior to handing it out will receive this service for free as well.

On Monday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., people can bring their Halloween candy to the Sheriff’s Court Security Officer Screening and X-ray Station during regular business hours free of charge.
