Info sought in kidnapping, rape case

SPARKS — Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives continue to investigate the kidnapping and sexual assault of a 34-year-old Sun Valley woman who was found bound and partially nude behind a building in the 1100 block of Rock Boulevard on Thursday at about 1 a.m.

The victim was believed to have been abducted in front of her residence before being assaulted. The suspects have been described as one male and one female, both possibly Hispanic. They were dressed in all dark clothing and wearing masks.

Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation and are asking the public for their assistance with any information. Calls should be directed to Sgt. Greg Herrera at 328-3332.
