Sheriff’s office investigates kidnapping, sexual assault

SUN VALLEY — On Thursday at about 1 a.m. Sparks police officers responded to the 1100 block of Rock Boulevard on a report that an adult female was found naked and bound.  Officers located the victim and reporting parties.  Sparks Police Department detectives responded and determined the female was kidnapped from Sun Valley and driven to Sparks. The suspects bound and sexually assaulted the victim in a secluded area to the rear of businesses in the 1100 block of Rock Boulevard.  

Based on the fact that the crime was initiated in Sun Valley, detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded and have taken over the investigation.
