RENO — This fall, CMIT Solutions of Reno and its nationally renowned technology partners, Microsoft and Dell, are reaching out to Reno’s small-business community to give one lucky company a chance to turn its technology horror story into a dream come true.

Whether they are frustrated and struggling to provide essential technology services to their employees or wanting to improve their business and can use advancements in their technology to do so, all small businesses in the Reno area can nominate themselves for the makeover. Business owners and management interested in entering the makeover must complete an essay or video, which can be submitted online by Nov. 12 at www.cmitsolutions.com/techmakeover.

“We understand firsthand the critical role technology plays in a business’s day-to-day operations,” said Eric Baryol, owner of CMIT Solutions of Reno. “This is why we … put together the Small Business Technology Makeover in order to help small business owners experience the value of professional IT support and how it can make their business more efficient.”

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges and awarded a technology boost on Nov. 19. Judges will determine a winner based on criteria such as the horror story, which they submit, degree of difference the new technology will have on the business and the overall benefit the business will gain from leveraging the technology.
