The Washoe County School District's winter break is upon us, and for most high school basketball programs, that means it's tournament time. Both the boys and girls programs at Reed and Spanish Springs are entered in holiday tourneys while the teams at Sparks High will use the down time to prep for their fast-approaching league schedule.
Hare resigns at Spanish Springs, will take job in Arizona
Spanish Springs High School will have a new football coach for the fall 2014 season. That news comes on the heels of the SSHS athletic department releasing an email statement Monday that Scott Hare had resigned from the position after eight years at the local school.
