SSHS golfers best HDL field at Washoe
On Monday, the Spanish Springs boys golf team earned its second tournament win in as many tries. Spanish Springs, which topped the High Desert League field in the season-opening tournament March 18 at Lakeridge, turned the trick again, besting its conference foes in the league's second spring tournament, which was hosted at Reno's Washoe Golf Course.
NNKC opens season at Desert Park

Rail City schools swept the top two spots in the High Desert League's season-opening golf tournament Tuesday afternoon at Reno's Lakeridge Golf Course. Perennial league power Spanish Springs won the team title, posting a 410, while Reed finished second, turning in a team total of 428.
Reed baseball opens league with loss at Damonte
A strong start did not equate to a win for the Reed baseball team Tuesday. The Raiders got off on the right foot, pushing a cross a pair of first-inning runs, but they could not hold on to the momentum, getting saddled with a 5-3 loss at Damonte Ranch in the DI North League spring debut for both schools.
Racers enjoy Sand Box GP
FERNLEY - The Sand Box Grand Prix is a fun event, no points or money are on the line although there were bragging rights and a large trophy for the winners of the team race. MRANN and the Over The Hill Gang staged the event for the third consecutive year.
